CALLING AND MINISTRY STUDIES – CAMS

The credentialing of the Church of God ministers is a ministry formation process.  The first step for a New Minister in the process is the Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS).  Enrollment in this program will help an individual in discovering his/her divine call and place in ministry, and help the church assess the applicant’s suitability for credentialed ministry in the Church of God.

There are two sections to CAMS – seminars and individual study.  Under the leadership of experienced and competent ministers/teachers, seminars are attended by both applicants and spouses at determined locations.  The applicant completes three Certificate In Ministerial Studies (CIMS) through individual study. The objective of these three courses is to aid the applicant in comprehending the call and ministry.  The applicant, along with their spouses write papers on their calling and their view of ministry.  Upon successful completion of the CAMS program, the applicant is eligible to test for the Exhorter rank in the Church of God.
